Jason Terry Finally Has His Ring

Jason Terry backed up his words throughout the series, and provided steady performance after steady performance off the bench for the Mavericks. Terry finished with a game-high 27 points and showed that shooter's touch he's become known for. Terry, who's known for his accuracy from beyond the arc, used his mid-range game in Game 6, hitting eight of nine shots inside the arc. Terry reintroduced himself to the world in the NBA Finals, showing his personality and versatile game throughout.

Not after Jason Terry sipped champagne in Miami's AmericanAirlines Arena after a spectacular shooting performance that keyed the 105-95 closeout win Sunday night over the Heat. Terry's stroke was pretty sweet, too.

Of course, Nowitzki didn't say anything that Terry didn't know. As an eternally positive person, Jason Terry would probably prefer to say that he proved himself right.
The '06 Finals flop can now be considered a distant memory for the Mavs and Terry.

In the first three games of the Finals, Terry, a 6-foot-2 guard, didn't score with LeBron James, a 6-8 forward, defending him. Terry, 32, dismissed the concern. "If there's space, I'm going to let it fly," Terry said after the game. The moves pushed Terry to the bench as an off-guard.

Back in 2006, Jason Terry came close to winning a championship with Dallas. "It's all about this moment right here," Terry said.
